Your coach holiday itinerary

Saturday

We travel down to Dover, have a short motorway stop en-route; board the Ferrie* and arrive at Cité Europe at approximately midday.

Here you can spend all your free time if you wish.  If you would like to purchase cigarettes, we’ll take the short drive (approx. 45 minutes) to Adinkerke, on the Belgian border.  A short visit is only available here (approx. 45 minutes).

We return to Cité Europe, to enjoy the great choice of shopping available.

*Please note:  Depending on circumstances we mite change from going by ferrie with the Eurotunnel (train)

Price includes: Return coach and Ferrie* travel and the services of two experienced Coaches drivers.

TRAVELLING ABROAD - IMPORTANT PASSPORT INFORMATION.

We would like to advise you that to travel on this tour, you will need a FULL TEN YEAR PASSPORT.  Non-British passport holders may require a visa.  Please check with the relevant embassy.

Credit card payments are taken at the hypermarket (when using your credit card - you must present your passport).  We suggest you ring your credit card company before shopping in France – increased fraud means they are turning down shopper’s cards if their spending deviates from the norm.  Take your mobile – you can often sort the problem out over the phone.

The currency required for France is Euros.

Tobacco and cigarettes are not sold at Cité Europe.

The trolleys at Cite Europe take a 1 euro coin, or ask at the information desk for a plastic token.

ALCOHOL

Important note - Coaches are monitored regarding their *weight for safety reasons.  Each passenger will only be allowed to bring back 10 litres of alcohol.  If you are in doubt, our drivers will gladly advise on the day.  Our drivers are NOT allowed to exceed the set limits and are authorised to leave behind any excess purchases or passengers who are detained by Customs & Excise.

CIGARETTES

We have now established that the total number of cigarettes that can be brought from Belgium back through France is now 1000 per passenger without needing a movement docket.

Any person wanting to carry between 1200 and 2000 cigarettes through France, must present themselves at the first customs office in France for a ‘document simplifié d’accompagnement’ and pay the tax.

It is forbidden to carry more than 2000 cigarettes and there are various penalties for this.  Our drivers are NOT allowed to exceed the set limits and are authorized to leave behind any excess purchases or passengers who are detained by Customs & Excise.

Rolling tobacco is not specifically mentioned, the limit is therefore that which the passenger is carrying for his/her own use.

* We are likely to use standard coaches because of their weight distribution characteristics.

Minor alterations maybe made during this coach trip by the driver, due to circumstances that may arise.

*Minimum 30 paying passangers*
